About Us Northshore Special Families was started in 2004 by parents of children with special needs and a special education teacher. Since that time we have hosted numerous events that encourage families with children with special needs to connect and socialize. Through our programs we aim to decrease the barriers to friendship and social activities that families with special needs can face. Our programming extends to the whole family, serving moms, dads, caregivers, and siblings. We offer group events both on and off-site. for a complete listing of our events, visit the 'Events' page.
